What To Expect
Sometimes people don’t recognize that connection to those in spirit can be a great source of healing. Whether it’s a message conveyed through a professional medium - or a connection made on their own, they could miss out on the opportunity for love & guidance from the spirit world due to fear of the unknown. That’s why it’s so important to dedicate a page of this site to explaining what to expect from working with me.
Let’s talk about some of the details of what will happen during a reading with me and what you might want to know before you arrive.
I offer both psychic and mediumistic readings, so let me quickly explain the difference between the two. A psychic reading is when I connect to the energy of my client, allowing me to access information from their past, present and future. A mediumistic reading is when I connect to loved ones in spirit, offering myself as a vessel for them to relay evidence and messages. You may tell me which type of reading you want at the start of your session.
A Few Things To Note For Your Session:
First, it is best not to provide me with any information prior to your reading; not even the name of the loved one you would like to reach. Any information you provide before the start of our session could get in the way of an authentic connection. I just ask that you participate in your session with an open mind and an open heart.
Feel free to record the reading or take notes. In fact, I encourage either / both as we can often forget details, and many times something that does not make sense during the reading may become very clear later. Sometimes, spirits of those we would not expect to hear from make an appearance. When this happens, the spirit often has an important reason for their visit. The healing that can occur based on those unexpected visits – for both the client and the spirit – is truly a blessing.
As a psychic medium who is committed to working for the highest good of both my client and those in spirit, I receive and communicate messages based in healing, love, and guidance. My years of experience have taught me that those in spirit do not offer messages based in fear.
Let’s talk about some of the details of what will happen during a class with me.
We are all born with the gift of intuition - an innate wisdom to guide us through life. Many of us don’t recognize that inner knowing, but when you learn to tap into your ability, to trust what it has to offer, it can be life-changing.
Suddenly, the answers to life-altering decisions are more accessible, and the ongoing presence and connection to your passed loved ones is much more recognizable, helping to support your healing and ease your grief.
I created Awaken Your Ability in 2015 as an introductory course for people who wanted to develop their mediumistic abilities. What I learned over the years, is that this course isn’t just for people who want to use mediumship to help others; this course is perfect for everyone.
Whether you’re a bit skeptical, curious about some things that have happened to you, or you’ve ignored the nudge for some time and are now ready to leap in, this course is for you!
I offer the course in person, keep the class size small, and ask participants to leave judgment at the door. This helps to provide a space that feels safe, comfortable and supportive. Not to mention fun. (Because I do like the sound of laughter…and so do your passed loved ones.)

The most important thing is to come to your reading with an open mind and an open heart. Keep in mind, no medium can guarantee a connection to a specific spirit, but it’s always helpful if you set the intention. You may want to create a list of all your friends and family who have passed, as sometimes those we least expect make a connection. That list may help you recognize an unexpected loved one.
If you’d like to record your session, please bring a fully charged recording device. If you plan to use your smart phone, you’ll want to make sure it is set on Airplane Mode during the recording. This not only ensures no disturbances during your session, but will also keep the recording from abruptly stopping due to an incoming call or text.

I won’t need anything to make the connection, but if it makes you feel more comfortable to have an item belonging to that loved one, please feel free to bring it with you; however, you should keep it in a safe place, such as your purse or pocket.

I don’t need to know anything about your loved one. In fact, it’s best if you don’t tell me anything at the start of our session, including their name.

You are welcome to bring a friend, but what my experience has shown me is, because I don’t have control of who connects from the spirit world, your friend may end up receiving many, if not all of the messages during your session. Your friend’s loved ones may have been looking for a way to connect to them, and this gives them the opportunity. Because I do not have control over who will receive messages during the session, there is a charge for additional people in the session.

Yes! I do offer psychic readings. At the start of your session, I’ll explain a bit about how I work and give you the option for a psychic reading or a mediumistic reading. The choice is yours. If you’d like both, just let me know at the start, so I can do my best to allow time for connecting to your passed loved ones as well. Please note, if you are hoping to allow time for both a psychic and mediumistic reading in the same sitting, it’s best to schedule a 50-minute session.

Connecting to a passed loved one or receiving guidance through a psychic reading can help us move forward in our journey and can be very healing experiences. There is often a lot of helpful information that comes forward during these sessions, and after receiving this information, it’s a good idea to take time to process and make adjustments in your thoughts and actions to allow that healing to go even deeper. With this in mind, I recommend clients take time before scheduling another session. A good rule of thumb is at least six to 12 months. It’s important to remember that we often have the answers within ourselves and can recognize the presence of our own passed loved ones if we learn to trust our own intuition. If you often find yourself having a hard time making decisions or wondering if your loved ones are trying to validate their presence, consider taking my Awaken Your Ability class; it’s a fun way of learning to trust your intuition and maybe even discovering your own psychic or mediumistic abilities. Yes, I do offer an online course that is an abbreviated version of Awaken Your Ability. It’s called Essentials of Awaken Your Ability. It does not provide the in-person experience, but is a good way to get started, and will introduce you to the very basic fundamentals. I also offer courses for those who want to continue their development beyond Awaken Your Ability. You can learn more about those classes and when I’ll be offering them by clicking here.

A lot of information is shared during the Awaken Your Ability weekend course, and all of it is instrumental, so I would recommend that if you register for the course, you plan to attend the entire weekend.

It sure will! Taking my Awaken Your Ability course will help you understand how, what, when, and why you are receiving information. I’ll teach you about turning it on and off and why some people feel they are getting information that makes them uncomfortable. Hint: There’s a way to change what you are receiving.

Yes, I am available certain weeknights and weekends for groups of six or more. Group readings are a great way for a family to connect with certain loved ones or for a group of friends to share an unforgettable experience. When you send a request for a group reading, don’t forget to include the number of people in your group and if there is a specific date you are hoping to schedule. Group readings require a minimum of six participants and are held at my West Ashley studio or via Zoom.

Yes, I offer beginner lever classes to help people recognize their psychic and mediumistic abilities, and intermediate level classes for continued development. I also offer one-on-one mentorships for those who have already taken a beginners level class.

This is a great question! While many people don’t know it, there is a HUGE difference between a psychic reading and a mediumistic reading. A psychic reading is when the psychic connects to the client’s energy and is able to tell that person’s past, present and future. All the information is coming from the client’s energy.
However, when a reader is working mediumisticly, they are connecting to those in the spirit world to receive information. Typically, clients request a mediumistic reading to communicate with a a passed loved one, but mediumistic abilities may also give the reader the ability to connect with spirit guides, angels and many more loving energies in the spirit world.
Interesting Fact: All mediums are also psychic, but not all psychics are mediums.
